Joe Francis wants a bailout

In case you missed it, Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis and Hustler founder Larry Flynt are asking Congress for a bailout for the porn industry.

Yes, you read that correctly.  They're saying that in the wake of the economic crisis, America's porn industry needs some revitalization.

Joe Francis went to Washington, D.C. to plead their case. 

Congress and the American people are not pleased, Joe, so please stop making a mockery of how much debt taxpayers are leaving to their children.

Go get some girls drunk and tape them, idiot.  Aren't there enough of us who are ticked off about the bailouts already?

Patrick Swayze talks to Barbara Walters about his cancer

Patrick Swayze's struggle with cancer is taking it's toll on the actor.  When he talked to Barbara Walters yesterday, he said that it takes him three hours each morning to get himself fit enough to get himself to the set of his new show, The Beast.

He says, "It was incredibly hard. I was never collapsing on set. No one saw me moan like a girly loser man.  If I had a six o' clock call, I would wake up at three in the morning to try and get the plumbing going.  What the cancer does is shut off the exit from your stomach and shut off all the bile ducts in your liver. When you shut off the bile ducts they start dumping all the toxins into your body. That's where the jaundice comes from. That's when you start going downhill fast."

He adds, "It takes me hours to get things flowing in both directions. There would be many mornings I'd wake up curled up on a bathmat trying to stifle a scream so I wouldn't wake Lisa."

It's a shame that he's afflicted with such pain and agony.  He's a great actor and you can tell that he's doing all of it so that his family can have a future after he's gone.

Anne Hathaway wants a "law-abiding" boyfriend

On today's episode of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, Anne Hathaway was on to promote her new movie, Bride Wars.

Ellen offered to try set Anne up with a guy, saying, "I'm really good at setting people up.  If you need someone, I will find you a boyfriend."

Anne joked, "At this point, I would just like him to be law abiding!"  She then added, "Dating means leaving yourself exposed." 

Ellen said, in response, "You don't even have to date, you can go straight to commitment."  Anne said, "Oh, okay...perfect."

Anne said that her breakup with the sheister taught her that she should have a sense of humor about everything:

"I'm sobbing, and I look up and I start laughing and said, 'This is going to make a great opening monologue on SNL.' So then, two weeks later I got the call that I was going to be on the show. I was like, 'You know what, I'm going to get through it. I'm going to laugh first and nobody is going to be able to laugh at me, and eventually it will just be something that happened to me' and now it is. I'm so thrilled."

Good for her.  I know it had to have been hard to have a sense of humor about something like that.  That guy was a jerk and she's lucky that she got out of that relationship when she did.  Better luck next time.

Kate Hudson will never go gay

Perez Hilton claimed on his blog that Kate Hudson was making out with another girl.  The news had her friends calling her up asking if the news is true....

Perez said:

A "spirited" Kate Hudson got "very friendly" with a female model at the opening of the newly refurbished Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach on Friday night.

Kate says that the rumors aren't true and that she has no plans to hook up with girls anytime in the near future.

She says, "A girlfriend called me and said, 'Are you making out with girls now?' I was like, 'What are you talking about?'  No, no, no.  Strictly boys for me."

Sometimes I think Perez just makes crap up so he can seem like has an inside scoop.

Donda West's doctor sentenced for DUI

The plastic surgeon who was said to have operated on and killed Kanye West's mother Donda, was sentenced to a year in jail for drunk driving.

Dr. Jan Adams pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge last June. 

His car was spotted going down the wrong way on I-680 near Cordelia, California.  He had a blood alcohol level of .20 percent.

I know that this couldn't possibly heal the wounds or lessen the sting for Kanye, but you know he's gotta be smiling a little bit over this one.

Hope they lock the jerk up and throw away the key.  The doctor, not Kanye.

Gay leaders applaud Clay Aiken

Clay Aiken recently made the tough decision to come out to People magazine.  He has thrilled officials at GLAAD as they are saluting him for going public with the news.

GLAAD President Neil Giuliano says, "We congratulate Clay for making this decision and for setting an example for others and his family.  As we're seeing, more and more gay people, including celebrities, are living openly and honestly, and this has tremendous impact in terms of creating awareness and acceptance."

As for the claymates, while on the boards lurking, I noticed that they were all pretty much in a state of shock.  I can imagine they were alone in that one.  I knew he was gay when he was on American Idol.  It wasn't news then and it really isn't now, but we are happy for him if he's happy.

Travis Barker is getting out of the hospital in two weeks

According to his buddy Jermaine Dupri who visited him in the hospital, Travis Barker will be healthy enough to be released in two weeks.

He says that Travis is doing well and feeling the love from his fans.

He has a newly customized hospital room, complete with computers and iPods, and everything he needs.  Dupri says, "You got to make sure he is comfortable."

DJ AM is already back in L.A., after his hospital stay.  Smart guy, he took a bus.  Can't say that I blame him at all.

Best wishes to DJ AM and Travis Barker.  Our condolences go out to the families of those lost.  They are in our prayers.

Porn painting/collage of Paris Hilton

Jonathan Yeo, a well-known British artist, is exhibiting his collage portraits of George W. Bush and Paris Hilton.  So what makes these portraits so special?  They're made entirely out of porn, much like Paris' career.

He got the idea for the collages when the White House canceled a commission to paint Bush in 2004.  He did the collage anyway, but this time using pieces of porno mags.

The best magazine cover...ever

Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart teamed up for the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly.  This is pure comedy genius.

I love these two.  The Colbert Report is definitely one of my favorite shows on Comedy Central.

Nice fist bump, guys, now we know who the terrorists are.

David Blaine knows he sucks

David Blaine had a spiffy finale planned for his latest "stunt".  Apparently, he was supposed to dive from the platform and be whisked away by balloons. 

But, as we already know, things didn't go according to plan.  According to him, it was due to none other than mother nature.

He says, "I wasn't going to let everybody down, so I just jumped, and somehow the guys with the balloons made it work, and they pulled me slowly up and I went over into the park and they pulled me down."

All of that was done to the sound of boos from the crowd.

Britney Spears' new song, Womanizer

She sounds a bit different from her older stuff.  This will likely have the clubs hopping, but I have a feeling that it's just mediocre Britney.

I really liked that song that was making it's rounds on the net, Strangers with Candy.  I thought that song would've rocked as her new single.  It's a shame that wasn't her, because I could've played that over and over.  (And I still might).

Clay Aiken got $500k to come out to People

People magazine paid Clay Aiken the paultry sum of $500,000 for his coming out story and for photographs of him with his son, Parker.

The amount is definitely nothing to sneeze at, but other celebrities were paid far more for their baby pics.  Weren't there enough Claymates for them to give him a better fee?

A People editor says that it's basically not worth it to shuck out the big bucks for celebrities and their babies due to the current economy.  She says, "When the economy is the mess it is now, it makes more sense to look at the pictures waiting in line instead of buying the thing."

I think more of the Claymates picked up this issue of the magazine because they wanted the details behind his decision to come out.

Britney Spears & K-Fed going to counseling?

It's being rumored that former married couple Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are going to couple's counseling to work out their problems.

A source reports that part of their therapy is to go on dates with each other and that Britney is excited. 

I don't know if I'm buying any of this yet.  I'll have to see it to believe it. 

The two of them are said to be waiting it out for six months, but if all goes well during that time, they'll move back in with each other.

I was always of the mind that Kevin was using Britney for her money and the fact that they had two kids as a result of their marriage, was his meal ticket.  I'm calling BS on this whole couple's counseling crap right now.  Not buying it.

Chris Kattan's wife files for dissolution of marriage

That was quick!

After getting married on June 28th, Chris Kattan's wife Sunshine Tutt, has filed for a dissolution of their marriage.

In legal papers filed in court yesterday, Tutt cites irreconcilable differences for the split. 

His spokesperson says they are "separated for the moment", but "has no plans for divorce at this time."

It sounds like they're going to divorce, since she has already filed saying that they can't work out their differences.  Don't be surprised if they're trying to keep this under the radar.

Kid Rock is launching his own brand of beer

Kid Rock is gearing up to launch his own brand of beer.

He has already teamed up with Drinks Americas Holdings to launch his premium domestic beer, which will be released next year.

Drinks Americas CEO says, "Kid Rock is a reflection of great American rock and roll music and the American spirit, and we think we can create a beer in that same image.  There is no question in our mind that people will try a beer that Kid Rock will stand by and when they like it, a great and incredibly valuable trademark will be created."

Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel are househunting

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are taking their relationship to the next level.  The couple were seen househunting together in New York. 

They've been looking at condos in New York, where they've expressed interest in buying a home.

They were reportedly impressed with a $2.9 million duplex in Manhattan.  The unit boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, 16-foot ceilings, and a sauna.  Nice!

These two are a cute couple, but I've heard that she's a nasty pain in the butt.

David Blaine completes his latest stunt

David Blaine has completed his latest stunt, where was said to have hung upside down for an entire 60 hours straight. 

He says that it's the "most difficult, for sure" of the stunts that he's done.

Onlookers who came to see him, said that they were unimpressed to see him take numerous breaks and some even called him a fraud. 

Are you impressed with him hanging upside down with the amount of breaks he took?  I'm not bashing him, for his medical reasons, but why would he say he's going to do something and basically cheat?

Dita Von Teese wants to give Amy Winehouse a makeover

When you think of Dita Von Teese, you think of fashion, beauty, and class.  So who better to give our favorite British crackhead a makeover?

Dita has offered her services to Amy Winehouse and wants to start with her wardrobe.  She also wants to tackle the famous beehive and thick makeup.

She says, "No matter how much she breaks down, she still has the beehive of sorts and the outfits and eyeliner.  When I see pictures of her I wish I could tidy her up a bit."

We wish you could, too, Dita.  Amy is a mess.  She could use some of your 1940's pinup glamour and style.

Joy Behar clashes with Paris Hilton

It's no secret that Paris Hilton went to jail for driving with a suspended license, it was a highly publicized event.

Apparently, Joy Behar of The View wasn't in the loop?

Paris Hilton appeared on the show to promote her new BFF reality show for MTV when Behar ribbed her about her McCain spoof video for FunnyOrDie.

Behar says to Hilton, "Too bad you can't vote.....because you were in the slammer.  My friend was in the slammer and couldn't vote."

Apparently shocked, Hilton replied, "I can vote."

Behar asked, "Oh, it was just a misdemeanor?"
